Beginning sophomore year, the St. Julie Scholar program prepares students for elevated academic performance in college. The St. Julie Scholar program includes an array of AP and Honors courses for students who are looking to exceed the already impressive academic and extracurricular expectations of an NDB education.
*Students may apply for the St. Julie Scholar program at the end of their freshman year. Applications will be reviewed and students will be chosen by the curriculum council and/or a review board.

AP Honor Roll Platinum Designation
The AP School Honor Roll offers four levels of distinction: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. NDB has been designated as Platinum this year, rising from Gold last year. In May of 2024, 209 students took 408 examinations in 21 subject areas. From this total, 70% earned a score of 3 or higher.
NDB has earned the College Board's AP® Computer Science Female Diversity Award for expanding young women’s access to AP Computer Science Principles (CSP). This award acknowledges 1,127 schools for their work toward equal gender representation during the 2022-23 school year. NDB is one of only 834 schools to be recognized for achieving this important result in AP CSP. Learn more.
NHS Induction Ceremony 2024
Los estudiantes que demuestran logros sobresalientes en lo académico son adoctrinados en la Sociedad Nacional de Honores en la Ceremonia NHS cada año.
Liderazgo estudiantil
NDB ofrece más de 200 puestos de liderazgo en el gobierno estudiantil, juntas y clubes y organizaciones profesionales. Aproximadamente la mitad de los líderes estudiantiles son elegidos por el alumnado, mientras que la otra mitad son seleccionados mediante un exhaustivo proceso de solicitud y entrevista.

The Mock Trial Showcase is a way for students on NDB's Mock Trial Team to practice their skills in the courtroom.

For the first time in over ten years, NDB Staffulty have decided to nominate two senior students, Nicole Fong and Andie Wong, for the California Scholarship Federation’s (CSF) Seymour Award.
